  • Vision fight night - October 20 - Review Vision held a low key fight night at the Maryhill Central Halls on October the 20th, this event was a bit different than their usual shows at the Kelvin Hall Sports Arena but the change didn't bring any disappointment. The event had a great professional fight headliner consisting of Allan Love v Craig Robertson and also a stacked undercard that had fights from the C-Class tournament that is currently running, all of which provided excitement and the prospect of great future matchups as well as a host of up and coming Scottish talent. Future Vision fight nights are definitely shows to look out for. Allan Love (DNFT) v Craig Robertson (Shooters) Round 1 Love works his jab and ...

It was in the stadium of light in Sunderland. My training has been top notch for this fight. My opponent Gareth Jackson caught me with a head kick right from the start. I brushed it off, then hit him with a superman punch follow up by a left hook and then a few flurry’s of punches. We then grappled for a bit exchanging knees. Then I managed to take him down lock up an anaconda choke. I tried to Finnish it standing but couldn't so I then managed to roll him ...

Looking to raise the bar, the new Vision team put their first card together in the Kelvin hall on Saturday 28th April. The evening was headlined by Scottish bantamweight James “Thaison” Doolan, who carried a European No 6 ranking into the bout with Swedish standout David Haggstrom. Sadly for the partisan crowd Haggstrom was able to outpoint Doolan on the three judges cards over 5 rounds to take the belt  and join the ranks of fellow Swedes Jonathan Westin and Nicolas Musoke as title holders in Scottish promotions. The event was held at the Ericcson Globe Arena in Stockholm which was a sell out with just over 15 thousand MMA fans attending the event. This was a new record for the globe and demonstrates how big MMA and the UFC in particular are in Sweden. We attended the weigh INS on the Friday afternoon where we first discovered how vocal the Swedish fans can be as they got behind some of there favourite fighters .The only fighter to struggle to make weight was Dennis Siver who was making his debut in the feather weight division.
